Maroon 5 is here with new album 'Red Pill Blues'

Maroon 5 released their new album 'Red Pill Blues'. The title of the album refers to the movie 'The Matrix' from 1999 where there is a scene that the main character has to take the red pill or the blue pill.  This is their first release to feature Sam Farrar as a studio member after becoming a touring member in 2012. There are 10 tracks on the album including the lead single "What Lovers Do" featuring SZA. It also includes "Help Me Out" featuring Julia Michaels and "Whiskey" featuring ASAP Rocky. There is one other guest appearance on the album from LunchMoney Lewis.

On the deluxe version of the album there are 15 tracks including "Don't Wanna Know" featuring Kendrick Lamar and "Cold" featuring Future. The album cover is inspired by filters featured on Snapchat. On the cover you see all the members of Maroon 5 pictured on polaroid photographs with a filter on their faces.

To promote the album, Maroon 5 will go on tour. They already announced the first leg of their Red Pill Blues World Tour. The first leg will be on North America with Julia Michaels as the supporting act. The first leg of the tour will start on May 30 in Tacoma and end on October 15 in New York. They will do a little summer break between the tour, but then they will come back. Tickets go on sale tomorrow at 10am. Listen to 'Red Pill Blues' here below.
