Janelle Monae releases two new songs
Janelle Monae is not only a great actress, but also a great singer and songwriter. She released two new songs: "Make Me Feel" and "Django Jane". Both songs will be on her upcoming album 'Dirty Computer'. She also released the music video for both songs.
"Make Me Feel" has a great Prince vibe, as well as the video. The video of "Make Me Feel" stars Tessa Thompson and happens in a club. The video is directed by Alan Ferguson also features several salutes to David Bowie. It's a great dance track with some playful guitar sounds. The song is about love which Janelle Monae shows in the video by flirting with a girl and a boy.
"Django Jane" is more about black girl magic and feminine empowerment. In this song you hear Janelle Monae rapping instead of singing. The video for "Django Jane" is directed by Andrew Donaho and her longtime creative partner Chuck Lightning along with Lacey Duke.
Both songs will be on her upcoming album 'Dirty Computer' which will release on April 27. This is her fourth album she will release. Her last album was 'The Electric Lady' released in 2013. Listen to the songs and watch the videos here below.
