Less than nine months after releasing her sophomore album, Sabrina Carpenter released a new song, titled "Why". She performed it for the first time at her North American tour kickoff in Vancouver on Thursday night (July 6). In an interview she says it was easy to write the song, "it kind of wrote itself". The song is about these differences that we all have, that keep us different from one another but at the same time glue us together.

Sabrina Carpenter is now on her De-Tour until August 26. The songs from 'Evolution will remain the focus of the tour, but she will certainly also perform "Why". She also says that she has already written enough songs to fill a new full-length album, but she wants to keep writing before going forward with a new project. Listen to the new song here below.
