Belly released the music video for "Immigration to the Trap", one of teh songs on his new album 'Mumble Rap' which released last week. The video shows images from 1977 and then from 2017 and was shot in Seine Saint-Denis in France. The song and video are about immigration and is very personal to Belly. He was born in Palestina and emigrated with his parents when he was just a boy. They moved to Ottawa, Canada where they hoped to escape poverty, but this didn't happen and Belly, by age 13, he had taken to the streets and slung drugs for survival.
Belly said about the video: "I wanted to share a glimpse into the life that many of us live as immigrants coming from a foreign place, trying to adapt to our environment, all the while dealing with the culture shock that comes along with it." Watch the video here below.
